The Operator's AI Triage Sheet

Decide in 60 seconds whether an AI announcement touches your job, or whether you're free to skip it.

Every week brings another AI headline, vendor email, or "have you seen this?" Slack. Most of it doesn't touch your job. This is the filter, not the firehose.

A one-page, three-step triage: a 30-second relevance check, an act playbook for the few things that pass, and a safe-to-skip move for everything else. Skipping on purpose is a decision, not negligence, and this sheet makes it look like judgment.

STEP 1
The 30-Second Relevance Check
Five questions. If you can't answer yes to at least two, it's safe to skip. Most things die here. That's the point.
STEP 2
The Act Playbook
Two or more yeses earns a closer look. Get the 30-minute briefing, ask for the one-page impact summary, run it through one decision lens.
STEP 3
The Safe-to-Skip Move
Say the line in the meeting, park it in a "Watching" note with a date, reclaim the time. Visible, conscious, on top of it.
