The AI Minute is a one-person publication with a lot of help. Here is exactly what that help looks like.

Who decides

A human editor makes every editorial decision: what runs, what gets skipped, what the verdict is, and when something is not ready. No issue ships without that person reading every word and pressing send.

What the machines do

We use AI tools to do the reading, and there is a lot of reading. The editorial desk that drafts, checks, and argues over each issue runs on Claude, a model made by Anthropic. Other models do research, fact-checking, and design work. When we write about Anthropic, or about any company whose tools we use, that is worth knowing, so now you know.

How a story earns its place

Every load-bearing claim traces to a primary source: company filings, vendor documentation, court records, government releases, or major research firms. Aggregators, blog posts, and social threads can point us toward a story, but they never get cited as its proof. When something is reported rather than confirmed, we say "reported." When we cannot verify a number, it does not run.

How an issue gets checked

Before publication, each draft is scored blind by multiple independent AI models against fixed criteria for accuracy, clarity, and voice. Blind means each reviewer sees only the draft, with no memory of prior conversations and no knowledge of what other reviewers said. An issue that scores below our threshold does not ship until it is fixed. The human editor can overrule the reviewers. The reviewers cannot overrule the editor.

What we do not do

No sponsor decides coverage. No tool we recommend has paid for the recommendation. When a link earns us a commission, it is labeled at the point you see it, and the tool was chosen before any partnership existed. We do not run advertising inside the editorial sections of the newsletter.

When we get it wrong

We correct errors in the next issue and on the site, and we say what changed.

Why tell you any of this

Because the whole point of this newsletter is helping you tell signal from noise, and that only works if you can see how we sort ours.
